Spokane, WA

Spokane is at the heart of the Inland Northwest.

The first residents of Spokane were Native American which is where we got our name from. Spokane means “Children of the Sun”.

Spokane is known as the cultural hub of the Inland Northwest. Art galleries, museums, Spokane Opera House and Spokane Arena are just a few of what Spokane has to offer. There are also dance competitions, concerts and sporting events. Whether you prefer downhill or cross country skiing, hiking, or camping, Spokane has an ideal climate for everyone.

Downtown Spokane

Spokane is also the home of Bloomsday, a 12k run that is one of the largest timed road races in the world. Hoopfest, another great event every year, is the largest 3 on 3 basketball tournament.

According to the Population Connection for 2004, Spokane is the second most "kid friendly" of large cities in the U.S.
